HELLO, I'M JULIA PALM.
A curious observer of the world, from large scale to small details. For years I have been capturing life in different creative formats. I’ve studied photography, graphic design and new media. I have worked as an editor and retoucher. When I found archviz it was like the last piece of the puzzle fell into place. Here I can combine all my creative pursuits and create new realities while exploring and observing the world around me.

Previous experiences
Education:
I am currently studying Architectural Visualization at Yrgo, Sweden. The programme is currently rated the third best in the world within archviz by the Rookie Awards association based on students projects.
I have a bachelor degree in Informatics, New Media Design at Jönköpings School of Engineering. The program is also known as Graphic Design and Web Development. The studies focused on user interaction, coding and graphic design for both old and new media. During two semesters at Jönköping university I joined Hype, which is a university-based pro-bono advertising agency.
During highschool i studied a program called Aesthetics with focus on Media at De la Gardie in Lidköping. There we were taught photography, film, media communication and graphic design. We also spent a lot of time getting acquainted with most of the Adobe Suite like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and InDesign. I also joined the PR-committee where we helped other school committees with their visual image. After graduation I continued on the creative path and chose the program that turned me into a better graphic designer.
Work:
Junior Graphic Designer and Retoucher at IDEAL OF SWEDEN / dec. 2020–oct. 2022
I have worked as a consult for IDEAL OF SWEDEN with a specification on product retouch. Even though my focus have been on product images my role has also included helping out with the graphic material being produced. I have also gained insight about how campains are set up and followed through.
Editor at Hall Media AB / june 2018–sep. 2020
I have worked as an editor in the print department at Hall Media, where I created layouts for pages for several daily newspapers such as Jönköpings-Posten, Smålands-Tidningen, Vetlanda-Posten, Tranås-Tidning, Smålands Dagblad, Värnamo Nyheter, Falköpings Tidning, Västgöta-Bladet and Skaraborgs Läns Tidning as well as several free newspapers.
Administrator at HKScan Sweden AB / june 2015–aug. 2017
For three years I worked at HKScan in the summer with varied tasks. During my first year, I was involved in a project that involved organising the company's image bank. This meant checking that the images complied with specified dimensions and regulations within industry standards. I also got to edit photos in photoshop and photograph some product photography. Other tasks I had at HKScan have been mail handling, sending out invoices and scanning invoices.
